Charlotte Hornets guard Kemba Walker will resume basketball activities in July after undergoing successful surgery on his left knee to repair a torn meniscus in the knee.
Walker averaged a career-high 20.9 points per game in 81 games for the Hornets in 2015-2016. Walker also averaged a career-high 22.7 points per game in the 2015-2016 playoffs versus the Miami Heat. The 26-year-old Walker was one of only five players in the NBA in 2015-2016 to total at least 1,600 points, 400 assists, 300 rebounds, 100 steals and 100 three-pointers on the year.
This is the 3rd time Walker has had an issue with the meniscus. He also tore it in 2010 when he was at Uconn, and tore it during January of the 2014-2015 NBA season.
Walker signed a four-year, $48 million extension with the Hornets on October 29th, 2014. He has spent his entire NBA career up to this point with Charlotte.
